The therapeutic properties and safety of an Essential Oil are determined by the make of its components. An oil can have for 1-400 different components
Synergy is the interaction of the components of the oils to make stronger therapeutic uses
Healing Properties come from the Whole Oil
Eucalyptus globulus: NOT for use with small children Substitute with Cedarwood
- Diffusing to reduce germs
- Prevent cold & flu
- Clears Sinus Congestion
- Calming sinus or tension related headaches
- Reducing muscle aches & pains
Made of about 70% 1,8-cineole
Research on 1,8-cineole:
- Airborne Antimicrobial
- Reduces Viruses
- Reduces Congestion & Coughing
- Eases Swelling
- Clams Aches & Pains
Other Oils High in 1, 8 cineole:
- Eucalyptus Radiata
- Cajeput (Melaleuca leucadendron var. cajupit)
- Ravintsara (Ho Leaf) (Cinnamomum camphor ct. 1,8 cineole)
- Saro (Cinnamomum fragraus)
Sweet Orange (Citrus sinensis):
- Diffusing for its uplifting aroma

Consists of about 95% (+)- limonene
(also known as d-limonene)
Researched properties of d-limonene:

- Lemon (Citrus limon) up to 12 drops per oz is NOT phototoxic
- Grapefruit (Citrus paradise) up 24 drops per oz is NOT phototoxic
- Distilled Lime is NOT phototoxic, NOTE: Cold Pressed Lime is VERY Phototoxic
- Blood Orange, Wild Orange, Mandarin, & Tangerine are NOT phototoxic
- All Orange oils are substitutes for each other
- Bergamont is VERY Phototoxic
